A principios de los años 80 la prestigiosa cadena BBC hizo una serie de documentales enfocados a las artes marciales, con la suerte que se fijaron en la Eskrima…es un repaso evidentemente un tanto anticuado, que no deja de ser un gran documento gráfico, donde podremos ver a Maestros ya desaparecidos o simplemente la posibilidad de transportarnos en el tiempo y tener así más información y visión de lo que ha sido, de lo que es y quizás de lo será nuestra Eskrima.
En Fightlosofia pensamos que la información forma parte del proceso de descubrimiento y evolución, es por esto que esperamos os sea de ayuda para entender quizás las diferencias o las similitudes entre las diferentes artes. Este documental en alguna de sus partes tiene imágenes que dificilmente podríamos haber visto si no hubiese sido por el trabajo documental de la BBC…sin duda algo de agradecer.
In the early 80s the prestigious BBC made a documentary series focused on martial arts, with the good luck that fell on the Eskrima … of course it´s a little bit old vision about the Art,but it continues remain a great graphic document where we can see missing Masters or just the opportunity to transport us in time and thus have more information and insight into what has been, what it is and maybe what it will be in the future our Eskrima.
In Fightlosofia we think the information is part of the process of discovery and development, which is why we hope will be helpful to understand perhaps the similarities or differences between the different arts. This documentary in some part has images could not have seen if it were not for the BBC documentary work … definitely something to be welcomed.
